Returning your leased vehicle
Important information & checklist
It was a pleasure to support you during the term of your lease. To ensure a problem-free return process without any additional costs for you, please read the following information carefully and work through the checklist.
Please note the following information about returns and appraisals:
Vehicle return notifications Notify your customer account manager about your vehicle return in writing at least 5 and at most 30 working days in advance. You will then receive an access link from us which you can use to plan and track the return process for your vehicle.
Possible return locations:
- Your company headquarters
- Your home address
- The supplying car dealership/trader (if contractually agreed). Arrange the appointment directly with the car dealership/trader in advance. Returns to a different dealership/trader are not possible.
- Returns to our used car depot by you. Please follow the instructions in the access link.
Return procedure
Inspection
- Inspection at our return points after collection.
- Inspection at a delivering car dealership/dealer before collection (if contractually agreed). If the vehicle is returned to the dealership it is necessary to make arrangements with the contact person there. After the inspection the vehicle may no longer be used and the vehicle condition cannot be changed.
Vehicle collection Our service provider will call your named contact to schedule the exact pick-up date.
If the vehicle is returned from a private address or company headquarters
- Our service provider will call your named contact to schedule the exact pick-up date.
- When you return the vehicle, a return report is drawn up together with you. It documents the condition of the vehicle (visual inspection inside and out) and any obvious defects on the vehicle at the time of return. The return report does not replace the expert appraisal, which forms the basis of our settlement with you.
If the vehicle is returned to the dealership
- The appointments are arranged with the dealership/trader.
- There are two appointments: inspection and subsequent collection.
Special instructions & costs
- Retrofitted accessories/tuning is only permitted with prior authorisation. At the time of return the original condition must have been restored at your expense. Otherwise we reserve the right to charge dismantling and delay costs.
- Stickers/adhesive residues must be completely removed before returning the vehicle, otherwise reworking will be charged.
