Top 10: The most leased company cars at Ayvens
Which company cars are Danish businesses choosing right now? Ayvens' latest leasing data from first half of 2026 provides a current snapshot of the market and highlights clear trends in corporate vehicle preferences. Electric SUVs, strong premium brands and highly practical models dominate this year's top 10.
Ayvens' data clearly shows that electrification continues at pace. The ten most leased company cars in 2026 are all electrified models, with the SUV segment proving particularly popular among both businesses and drivers.

Premium has become mainstream
Where premium vehicles were once primarily reserved for senior management, the picture today is far more nuanced. At the top of the list of the most leased company cars is the Mercedes-Benz GLB, while the BMW iX3, Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi Q4 e-tron also rank among the most sought-after models.
This development reflects how modern premium electric vehicles have become increasingly competitive in terms of total cost of ownership and operating costs. At the same time, many employees now expect a vehicle that combines comfort, advanced technology and an engaging driving experience.
For businesses, it is therefore no longer just about providing transport, but also about offering an attractive employee benefit in an increasingly competitive labour market.
SUVs remain the preferred company car choice
Looking at this year's top 10, one trend stands out in particular: SUVs and crossover SUVs continue to dominate. The Mercedes-Benz GLB, Škoda Enyaq, Tesla Model Y, BMW iX3, Audi Q4 e-tron, Volvo EX60, Volkswagen ID.4 and Toyota bZ4X all offer the combination of space, flexibility and comfort that many company car drivers value.
The popularity of SUVs is largely driven by their versatility. They are equally suited to motorway driving, customer visits and family life, making them attractive to employees who use their vehicle for both business and personal purposes.
Long range is no longer enough
Just a few years ago, driving range was often the deciding factor when businesses selected an electric vehicle. Today, the market has matured significantly. The most popular models stand out not only because they can travel long distances on a single charge, but also because they offer rapid charging, intuitive technology, a strong user experience and advanced safety features. As a result, drivers are increasingly evaluating the overall mobility experience rather than focusing solely on technical specifications.
Estate cars are under pressure, but not disappearing
The Volkswagen ID.7 is the only traditional company car on this year's list, and its position demonstrates that there is still demand for comfortable vehicles with low energy consumption and excellent long-distance capability.
At the same time, the list shows that the SUV segment continues to gain market share. For many drivers, the higher seating position, flexible cabin layout and spacious luggage compartment outweigh the traditional advantages of an estate car.
This trend is also linked to the fact that electric estate cars are only now beginning to establish themselves more widely in the market. Estate cars are unfortunately not reported as a separate category in publicly available statistics. Most electric estate cars currently available, such as the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer, BMW i5 Touring, Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric and Peugeot e-308 SW, still represent a relatively small share of the vehicle parc compared with SUVs. According to Mobilsiden.dk, estate cars are estimated to account for less than 10% of the total electric vehicle fleet, while SUVs account for around 60% in 2026.

New models gain traction quickly
Another notable feature of this year's ranking is how quickly new models are being embraced by the market. The Volvo EX60, for example, is already among the most leased company cars, underlining drivers' willingness to adopt new technologies and the next generation of electric vehicles.
When a new model combines a strong brand, modern technology and attractive taxation conditions, it can quickly establish itself as one of the preferred choices in the company car segment.
