When your leasing contract is about to expire, you have multiple options, see below. Also find requirements and guidelines for returning your car.
- Before return
- If ending your contract before ordinary expiration, you need to do this in writing to privatkundeservice.dk@ayvens.com. It may take some time before you get confirmation.
- Damages must be reported and rectified before you return the car, or you will be charged the full cost of the damages.
- The car must be returned on the original summer tyres / all year tyres. We do accept, though, that you return the car on winter tyres, if the original summer tyres are returned with the car. Read more below.
- The car must be returned with charged battery or fuel equivalent to min 150 km.
- Book time for your vehicle return at FDM well in advance.
- If you have Keyless installed via GoMore, you need to get the box removed before returning the car. Contact GoMore at keyless@gomore.dk to book a time for box removal.
- If you have a Tesla, before returning the car you must delete or reset your Tesla profile in the car, as this may contain personal data.
- On the day for return
- When returning the car, it must be freshly washed, and the interior must be clean. We recommend personal participation when returning the car at FDM for no later surprises.
- Remember to bring the following: Extra key, service booklet, and hat shelf. If any defects or missing items upon return, they will subsequently be invoiced. Read more in the return guide.
- After return
- If you get an invoice for leasing fee after returning the car, this must be paid and will be credited with the final statement.
- After vehicle return, you will get the final statement approx. 3-4 weeks later.
The car must be returned on original tyres
If you have fitted winter wheels or winter tyres on the original rims yourself, it is accepted that the car is returned with winter wheels/tyres, if the car’s original wheels with summer tyres or loose summer tyres are carried in the boot. Please note that winter wheels/tyres will not be handed over to you, and no compensation will be given. The car must continue its journey on summer wheels and it is a cost for Ayvens to get the wheels/tyres changed which at best offset by the value of a set of used winter wheels/tyres.
If you have rented winter wheels from Rubberduck or a similar provider, the car must be returned on summer wheels. You are responsible for ensuring that the winter wheels are changed back to the original summer wheels before returning the car.
Return your vehicle at FDM
You have to book time for vehicle return at FDM regardless if you want to be present for inspection, or you just want to return your vehicle without being present at the inspection (drop-off).
Buy your lease car
Are you happy with your lease car? You can buy it, and that way you don't have to return in shortly. When there's 3 months or less to the end of your leasing contract, we can make you a quote.
Extend your leasing contract
If you are still happy with your car and would like to continue leasing, you can extend your current leasing agreement. This allows you to continue driving and avoid a new down payment. You continue with your current service and retain flexibility with a short notice period.
