This pivotal role is essential to stabilising, safeguarding, and future-proofing the accounting of our fleet assets, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and operational excellence.

About the Role

As the Senior Asset Register Specialist, you will be the key expert responsible for the full control, accuracy, and integrity of the fleet asset register and related accounting. You will play a critical role in managing asset lifecycle events, depreciation, reconciliations, and ensuring system integrity between operational platforms and accounting systems. You will also lead efforts to resolve legacy issues and implement sustainable improvements.

What You Will Do

  • Own the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Asset Register and fleet accounting.
  • Manage the full lifecycle accounting of fleet assets: activation, depreciation, revaluation, disposal, and termination.
  • Lead monthly depreciation calculations, reconciliations, and postings with precision and timeliness.
  • Ensure seamless system integration and data consistency between Miles, Asset Manager, and SUN.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Take charge of month-end and year-end closing activities related to fleet assets, ensuring robust audit trails and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits as the technical authority on fleet asset accounting.
  • Drive process enhancements, system upgrades, and documentation improvements to reduce risks and key-person dependencies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide expert advice and analytical insights on fleet asset accounting.

What You Bring

  • Extensive hands-on experience in asset accounting and depreciation for large and complex asset portfolios.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards related to asset lifecycle accounting.
  • Proven ability to manage reconciliations and maintain audit-ready documentation in high-volume transactional environments.
  • Strong expertise with asset management systems such as Miles, Asset Manager, and SUN (or equivalents).
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong control mindset.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, especially during closing periods and audits.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, able to collaborate and challenge constructively.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
