Procurement Specialist

As a core part of the Operations Division, Procurement is responsible for embedding the Ayvens sourcing and procurement policy to enhance our management of external spend, build internal supply chain management capability and nurture 3rd party partnerships. 

The Procurement Specialist role is a Fixed Term Contract opportunity until 31/12/2025 and key objective of the role is to:

• Take a leading role in managing contract renewals from conception through to completion across a diverse range of spend categories with the goal to maximise synergies and minimise risk.

• As part of the Ayvens UK integration journey support Procurement through embedding a timely and responsive shared service support function through providing timely advice to business stakeholders around policies, processes and sourcing strategies.

Other areas of responsibility:

• Accountable for the the end to end sourcing strategy (where applicable) across assigned renewals or areas for contract harmonisation. This includes taking both a strategic and operational lens to ensure business requirements are met, risks are mitigated and commercially our agreements offer great value for money.

• Responsible for the diligent management and accuracy of the contract management / renewals portfolio pre & post contract completion.

• Engage with applicable stakeholders (to include but not limited to Legal, business owner, Finance, Operations, Societe Generale Procurement team) at appropriate times to ensure that stakeholders needs are being met through effective communication and aligned plans at all times).

• Support the delivery of the UK Ayvens integration through the embedment of new policies*, procedures and processes to drive both efficiencies / synergies whilst maintaining good compliance. (*including a focus on a Know Your Supplier (KYS), Outsourcing and Global Procurement Policies).

• As part of the Procurement Team provide an attentive UK ‘shared service’ for all wider sourcing and or supply chain needs. Whether that is supporting a range of renewals or building our business capability in supply chain management, procurement in seen as a ‘centre of excellence’ for all procurement or sourcing needs.

• Support wider procurement transformation through recommending new areas of efficiencies / synergies or getting directly involved in specific change initiatives.

• To ensure good risk and compliance principles are followed all times. This includes implementing diligent governance processes for all purchases through to using robust MI and insight to allow effective supervision controls to be embedded.

Key skills and experience required:

• A self starter with excellent business planning and work organisation

• An ability to work at pace and deliver focused timescales

• Happy working as part of a team or taking on objectives automously

• IT applications: Good all round personal computing skillset including Microsoft products e.g Excel, Powerpoint

• Has experience in a procurement, supply chain managememt and / or operational management context (procurement qualifications desirable)

• An understanding of the automotive or leasing sector and / or associated operational supply chains (desirable but not essential)
