We’re looking for a Risk Oversight & Reporting Analyst to take ownership of high impact risk reporting and governance.
You’ll lead the end-to-end production of risk committee packs and regular second line reporting, including monthly risk opinions and group submissions. A key part of your role will be working with risk owners across the business to gather inputs, monitor key risks and maintain governance standards to help drive better risk outcomes.
The successful candidate will need to be able to commute a minimum of 2 days to the Bristol or Slough office.
Key Accountabilities of the Role:
Manage and prepare risk reporting for risk committees and senior management, such as risk opinions, monthly business reviews and overdue actions, ensuring local and group reporting deadlines are met.
Prepare Enterprise Risk Committee reporting by compiling and analysing risk content, including agenda items, data on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other essential risk metrics from risk owners.
Collaborate with first line functions to challenge risk positions and to gather and analyse risk data.
Support in the implementation of second line risk policies and governance framework requirements.
Maintain oversight of risk actions, including audit actions, ensuring timely follow up and escalation of overdue items where necessary.
Support in second-line control testing and monitoring activities.
Support the wider Risk Oversight team in developing risk opinions for senior management, providing insight into emerging trends & potential risk concerns.
Contribute to ad-hoc Risk and Compliance projects to support broader divisional objectives.
Experience and skills required:
Technical & Reporting:
Excel, PowerPoint, comfortable working with risk systems/ tools
Co-ordination & Organisation:
Able to manage deadlines and reporting cycles, experience co-ordinating across teams to gather inputs, actions and updates, able to track and maintain governance logs
Analytical & Communication:
Good attention to detail, strong written communication, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all levels
Risk Awareness:
Basic understanding of risk management/ frameworks and risk types
