An exciting opportunity within our Credit Operations Team where you as the successful applicant will, along with the team, be responsible for evaluating credit applications. The department is key to protecting the company from undue risk whilst also ensuring we provide a great customer experience.
Based in Bristol we're offering a starting salary of £24,555 in addition to benefits this is a great entry level role for someone with an analytical mindset, great attention to detail and a head for numbers.
Key Purpose:
Complete credit underwriting decisions for regulated and non-regulated customer applications
Ensure we adhere to due diligence procedures in line with Group compliance requirements
Complete all activity in line with business risk appetite and company policies and procedures.
Protect the company from undue credit and regulatory risk
Summary of Responsibilities:
Analyse and interpret financial information from a wide range of sources
Decision on credit applications and declined application appeals completing a robust audit trail and within defined quality and efficiency standards
Complete due diligence and know your customer checks
Respond timely to customer verbal and written enquiries ensuring that all relevant information is communicated in line with company credit risk policy.
Timely escalation of any procedural issues to the management team.
Involvement in process document reviews and providing ideas to improve the E2E client journey.
Communicate effectively with a wide range of contacts including internal colleagues, colleagues throughout the Société Générale group, customers and third parties
Skills, Experience & Background
Research and analytical skills having worked in a similar analytical position
Previous experience within the Financial Services industry
Proactive time management & organisation skills
Good standard in IT literacy in particular Microsoft Office application
Strong communication skills i.e., written, face to face, telephone
Knowledge of credit underwriting processes would be advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of financial services regulations would be advantageous.
