As our Vehicle Procurement Category Manager, you'll play a leading role in shaping Ayvens' vehicle purchasing strategy, working closely with manufacturers, dealers and key business stakeholders to secure the right vehicles on the best possible commercial terms.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key manufacturer relationships, identify commercial opportunities and influence purchasing decisions that support both our customers and the wider business.

Vehicle Procurement Category Manager Key Responsibilities…

  • Managing relationships with vehicle manufacturers and key supply partners
  • Negotiating supply agreements, commercial terms and rebate opportunities
  • Working with colleagues across Commercial, Operations and Asset Risk to ensure vehicle supply meets business needs
  • Identifying tactical and bulk purchasing opportunities to support business performance
  • Acting as the main point of contact for manufacturer escalations and issue resolution
  • Monitoring market trends, manufacturer activity and vehicle availability to identify risks and opportunities
  • Producing insight and analysis to support vehicle purchasing decisions
  • Managing manufacturer performance through regular reviews and scorecards
  • Supporting stock management activities to ensure vehicles are sourced and managed effectively
  • Ensuring procurement activities are carried out in line with business controls and governance requirements
  • Looking for opportunities to improve processes and ways of working across the vehicle supply chain

Skills and experience required…

  • Experience working in the automotive, OEMs, dealerships, leasing or vehicle supply industry
  • A strong commercial background, ideally within account management, procurement or supplier management
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence negotiating with suppliers and influencing outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to support decisions
  • Commercial awareness and a good understanding of market dynamics
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of vehicle supply chains and fleet operations
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • A track record of improving processes or delivering change
