Salary range is £45,000 - £55,000 & Benefits
Key Purpose
Support the Finance & Technology divisions to manage risk, incidents and controls effectively & proactively.
Build strong risk awareness and a mature risk culture through training & business partnering
Embed all elements of the non-financial risk framework across the Finance & Technology divisions (RCSA, incidents, risk acceptance, supplier risk management).
Lead & deliver the business continuity & crisis management framework.
Areas of Responsibility
Act as a Risk Business Partner to the 1LOD, with the ability to develop strong, meaningful relationships at a senior level, challenge and influence the leadership team to ensure that risks, incidents and controls are managed effectively.
Work in partnership with business leaders to identify and assess operational risks and create robust risk mitigation plans in line with organisational risk appetite. Participate in the review, development and implementation of risk management policies, procedures and controls.
Provide advice and support to management on complex risk management issues, providing a commercial and proportional approach whilst operating within group policy, risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Engage and motivate the 1LOD community in understanding the importance of risk management to improves organisational performance. Works collaboratively to improve 1LOD performance whilst maintaining standards and escalating non-compliance as appropriate. Build and sustain a positive risk culture and risk management capabilities across 1LOD. Hold 1LOD to account for completion of risk mitigation actions.
Lead and direct incident management working groups to mitigate the impacts arising from material operational risk incidents. Undertake operational risk incident investigations, including identification of root cause, lessons learnt, adequate corrective & preventative action plans to prevent incident recurrence. Ensures adequate follow up of action plans. Analyses and gathers insight from incident trends to form proactive interventions.
Lead and deliver initiatives to implement all non-financial risk management frameworks, such as Risk Acceptance, Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA) and risk registers. Maintains broad knowledge of and provides advice on all non-financial risk frameworks.
Lead & deliver the business continuity & crisis management framework, including the annual Business Impact Assessment, Crisis Management Team training, Business Continuity strategy & maintain other associated tools / processes.
Produce high quality, accurate and insightful reporting for senior management and risk committees.
Builds excellent working relationship with central teams, influences central decision making to improve outcomes and challenges group requirements as appropriate.
Skills, Experience & Background
Excellent financial and commercial awareness, combined with demonstrable relationship management and effective communication skills.
Holds relevant risk management qualification – essential.
Excellent communicator, relationship builder and influencer. Able to collaborate effectively with other teams, departments, divisions and entities where required to drive business success and people engagement
Proven ability to develop and deliver against a clear strategic vision
Engage and support team members to develop their risk management skills and capability.
Degree level education is desirable however not essential if candidate is able to demonstrate excellent report writing through prior experience

IT Applications: Excellent IT literacy for all MS office products, specifically Powerpoint & Excel.
