Tremendous opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join our Slough based team taking responsibility for the internal and external reporting of LPUK including oversight of the internal control environment.

Initially offered as a 12 Month Fixed Term contract whilst we integrate our two businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of monthly and quarterly reporting and ensure completion as per deadline;

  • Take ownership of the audit reporting process during the audit cycle to ensure completion in a timely manner;

  • Take ownership of the balance sheet rec and general controls process to ensure balance sheet reconciliations and other controls are completed accurately and in a timely manner, regularly questioning balances and control outcomes with process owners, and raising key areas for the attention of management; and

  • Take ownership of the Statutory Accounts preparation and audit thereof.

Desirable Education & Technical Ability

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).

  • Degree level in an Accountancy, Business or Statistics based subject or experience led equivalent.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.

  • Fluent in business English language, with excellent written and verbal 

  • communication skills.

Desired Previous Work Experience

  • Experience of working within Audit.

  • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail – essential 

  • Ability to think and take initiative with the confidence and initiative to challenge

  • processes as required within remit.
