Tremendous opportunity to join Ayvens and progress your career as Senior Credit Risk Analyst where you as the successful applicant will assess and provide decisions on high value credit applications. It’s expected that you’ll already be  an SME in this area ensuring all financial, quality, regulatory, responsible lending and service requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating the risks associated with the counterparty’s creditworthiness, relying on the analyst’s issued opinion.

  • Analysing complex credit data and financial statements for large value fleet.

  • Assess and decision on high level value credit applications (c1Mill) in line with business risk appetite and company policy and procedures.

  • Make credit decisions within the local authority and over credit analyst LoD1 signing authority, as defined in the delegation letter.

  • Liaising with Central Credit risk and PCRUs when no country lending authority exists.

  • Producing robust governance and auditing on application decisions ensuring outcomes are compliant with the credit approval process and are in line with delegated credit authorities

  • Monitor, assess and remediate competence for credit granting processes.

  • Deliver operational effectiveness, achieving productivity and quality targets and objectives set by the business.

  • Continuously review Operational processes to enable maximum efficiency and timely updating and governance process for Standard Operating procedures.

  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects / process reviews providing ideas to improve the E2E client journey.

  • Contributing to improvements to processes and policy that balance risk with customer service.

  • Managing and building internal relationships with key functions within the business.

  • Delivering training/feedback to team to support the development of Risk Operations Team, as well as individual developmental goals.

  • Timely escalation of any issues on policy, procedures, or decision process to the management team.

  • Deputise for the Manager of the team

Skills, Experience & Background

Technical Capabilities:

  • Extensive credit risk knowledge

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Customer due diligence for on boarding and in life knowledge

  • Strong financial analysis and accounting capabilities

  • Experience of risk management, governance and controls

  • In depth knowledge of legal entity types and complex company structures

  • Technical proficiency of data utilisation, dessimination and decisioning

Desired Previous Experience:

  • Previous experience in a comparable role in the financial services sector

  • Broad knowledge of UK regulated and finance industry.

  • Experience of customer interaction and relationship management

  • Excellent communication and engagement skills

  • Proactive time management & organisation skills with the ability to manage changing priorities

  • Evidence of critical thinking, highlighting an ability to analyse and evaluate  information resulting in informed decisions.

  • Experience of coaching and mentoring

IT Applications:

  • Knowledge of Companies House, Data Companies that provide structures and financial information and MS office suite

  • Computer skills, including specialized underwriting software and common programs like Word and Excel
