We are currently seeking two Knowledge Authors who will be responsible for creating, editing, and publishing high-quality documentation based on information provided by subject matter experts (SMEs) and other knowledge holders.
An exciting opportunity where you, as the successful applicant, will convert complex business processes, operational practices, customer insight and other critical knowledge into accessible, structured artefacts that will form part of the organisation’s permanent knowledge base.
Both roles will be offered for a fixed term of 18 months to support the integration programme.
Responsibilities
Document knowledge articles, workflows, SOPs, FAQs and other reference material as appropriate to the knowledge type
Conduct structured interviews and workshops with SMEs and other knowledge holders.
Translate technical or tacit knowledge into clear, concise, and usable documents.
Follow templates, standards, and taxonomies established by the Knowledge Manager.
Collaborate with Business Process Analysts to visualize processes (e.g.flowcharts).
Ensure all documentation is reviewed, version controlled, and stored in the knowledge repository.
Maintain documentation quality by adhering to writing guidelines and project standards.
Support updating and refreshing content to ensure knowledge is always up to date for end users
Skills, Experience & Background
Demonstrable experience in technical writing, process documentation, or knowledge authoring.
Experience working in large transformation, transition, or knowledge projects is advantageous
Strong technical writing and content creation skills.
Proven ability to simplify and structure complex information.
Skilled in tools such as Word, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to templates and standards.
Effective collaboration and interviewing skills.
Knowledge of financial services or fleet management is desirable.
Degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Technical Writing, or related discipline.
