To support growth we’re currently seeking a Procurement Manager, an exciting opportunity to join a business critical team as we move forward with our integration. Initially offered as a 12 Month Fixed Term contract

Primary Objective

  • Support the delivery of the Ayven’s UK procurement strategy via creating strong partnerships with both Ayvens business stakeholders and suppliers to deliver great outcomes (e.g. consistent service, commercial synergies, responsible practices, low business risk).

  • Develop a collaborative ‘centre of excellence’ in which Procurement supports both Group goals, but offers an attentive ‘shared service’ right across the Ayvens business.

  • Support the integration of Ayvens Procurement (UK) through embedding robust procurement policies, processes and best practice

Key Responsibility

  • Oversee the sourcing strategy and fulfilment for assigned procurement initiatives. Through working closely in conjunction with (Group \ Local) stakeholders the goal is to ensure both customer requirements are understood and these are translated into a consistent provision of supply that offers great value for money. In selected cases work closely with suppliers ‘in-life’ to drive continuous improvements and overall performance.

  • Alongside the wider procurement team ensure a ‘shared service’ model is developed to provide an attentive UK service for all Procurement needs. This includes being the ‘front of house’ for the Procurement team, offering initial procurement support through, logging more detailed requirements, through to owning specific initiatives.

  • Support the team management of the contract management / renewals portfolio to enable targeted actions including… i) contract harmonisation, ii) synergy creation, iii) rebate collection, iv) policy compliance, & v) risk management.

  • Actively support the category management team in specific projects or assignments as part of integration.

  • Becomes an expert in both Group and local policies, processes and procedures to help build the team’s knowledge and capability whilst maintaining compliance.

  • Ensure good risk and compliance principles are followed all times. This includes implementing diligent governance processes for all purchases through to using robust MI and insight to allow effective supervision controls to be embedded.

  • Support overall monitoring and metrics / reporting for the team, providing recommendations for future focus and performance improvements.

  • Maintain an effective forward radar in the procurement industry with key trends and observations shared across the organisation. This is combined with an active sector and knowledge base to underpin the expertise required to undertake the role.

This role supports succession planning into wider Ayvens Procurement roles (e.g. category management) or an individual looking to develop a career in Procurement.

  • Strong relationship, stakeholder management & interpersonal skills

  • A ‘self starter’ with strong work organisation and planning skills

  • Experience in a procurement, supply chain management and / or operational management context (desirable and / or complemented by a passion to develop a career in the Procurement sector).
