Due to increased workload we are currently seeking a Paralegal to join the team, initially on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract to support what is already a busy department. Offering a salary up to £30,000 (DOE) we are seeking someone with experience of preparing and processing legal contractual documentation.

Key Purpose

  • Manage the end to end process for novation of vehicle contracts

  • Ensure that all legal novation documentation is compliant and completed accurately

  • Ensure that all credit applications are approved in line with business risk appetite and company policy and procedures

  • Protect the company from undue credit and regulatory risk

  • Summary of responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to stakeholder verbal and written enquiries ensuring that all relevant information is communicated clearly in line with credit policy.

  • Obtain relevant approvals before issuing documentation

  • Raise legal novation documents and ensure these are correctly completed by customers

  • Prompt escalation of any issues on policy, procedures or decision process to the management team.

  • Ensure internal databases are maintained accurately

  • Achieve defined quality and efficiency standards within the novation process

Skills, Experience & Background

  • Experience in preparing and processing legal contractual documentation

  • Excellent communication skills i.e., face to face, telephone, e-mail, report writing

  • Proactive time management & organisation skills

  • Research and analytical skills - Ability to analyse financial accounts

  • Good standard in IT literacy in particular Microsoft Office applications

  • Able to work autonomously
