Our Vehicle Data team manages the quotations database and maintains the discount and bonuses databases for both Ayvens UK and our White Label partners. As such we work closely with our data providers, manufacturers, and White Label partners to ensure our database is accurate as possible at all times.

We’re currently seeking a Pricing Database Analyst to join the team based in our Bristol Head Office on a permanent contract.

Key Purpose

  • Contribute to the ongoing running and maintenance of reporting regimes with the team.

  • Manage, develop and maintain database tools, striving for automation to increase accuracy, flexibility and scope of reporting.

  • Maintain and update the Group quotation databases according to agreed service standards.

  • Ensure the integrity of these databases are always maintained through the

  • use of adequate management controls and governance processes.

  • Provide analytical support across Information Services and Forecast & Policy.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the group quotation databases are kept up to date through the input of Vehicle Data, Pricing, Discounts & VRBs, Residual Values, Maintenance Costs, etc.

  • Execute database updates according to agreed policy and within service levels ensuring that all control processes are followed

  • Ensure that the integrity of individual database components are maintained at all times

  • Minimise where possible incidents that may lead to operational risk

  • Develop an understanding of all areas of the database supporting the Group quotation systems

Skills, Experience & Background

  • Effective problem solving skills, with an ability to seek alternative solutions leading to process improvements

  • Experience of cross functional working, requiring strong communication skills i.e. face to face, telephone and via e-mail

  • Advanced excel skills incl. VLOOKUP, pivot tables

  • Good standard in IT literacy including PowerPoint and Word

  • Evidence of good time management with the ability to meet deadlines

  • Experience of Coding in SQL/VBA would be desirable but not essential

  • Experience of data manipulation and subsequent presentation of findings
