Three pain points we resolved for our customers
While some of work involves managing huge projects for our customers, we also provide consultancy support to resolve specific smaller issues. If a customer identifies an issue that is stopping their fleet from running as smoothly as possible, we try to find a way to improve, and ideally resolve, the situation. Here are a few examples of what we’ve done recently.
1. The right tyres for the job
We have a customer who requires all its commercial vehicles to be fitted with all-weather tyres to suit the local driving conditions. Unfortunately, when these vehicles arrive from the supplier they are fitted as standard with summer tyres. As this could not be changed, our consultants set up a process with providers local to the fleet so that all-weather tyres would be fitted automatically in the best available time frame.
2. Working round a long lead time
A customer in a more remote location was facing significant lead times for vans set up to their requirements. As the vehicles were needed more quickly than this, our consultants developed an alternative solution. We secured a batch of stock vehicles and then worked with third-party suppliers near the customer to arrange a bespoke fitting. This significantly reduced the time to delivery and met the customer’s needs.
3. A system change to reduce errors
We have a client who has multiple insurance policies across its sites relating to its fleet. This meant that claims were sometimes registered under the wrong policy when they were passed to the accident management provider, which caused delays and increased the administration costs. They asked our consultancy team to look at it and we worked with our systems team to develop a data feed that automatically captures the correct insurance policy details when a contract is set up. This can then be shared with the accident management provider before they start their work.
