Job Purpose

The Supplier Manager is part of the Services & Operations team and is responsible for managing the objectives to:

  • Build and manage excellent relationships with manufacturers and key partners to ensure Ayvens can deliver best in class solutions to our customers
  • Negotiate Commercial terms and Service Level Agreements with all of our Partners and Suppliers.
  • Enable and drive change in relation to internal processes
  • Liaise and steer collaboration with internal business partners of value streams to understand their needs
  • Act in line with Ayvens and SG business ethics and Procurement Policies and as a professional partner to our suppliers
  • Ensure the development of processes and tools that support Ayvens being perceived as a professional partner
  • This role will involve working both within Head Office and being on the road on a proportional basis      

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, prepare and execute comprehensive SLA’s with commercial terms with KPI deliverable with all of our suppliers
  • Responsible for keeping supplier contract and contact database updated
  • Establish, manage and continuously develop relationship with suppliers
  • Schedule and manage quarterly review meetings with Key suppliers and stakeholders with minutes and follow up action points
  • Compile statistics on purchasing and monitor bonuses, volumes and financial targets
  • Ensure continuous focus on efficiency and cost effectiveness identifying target areas
  • Responsible for ensuring we are adhering to KYS processes & policies
  • Work according to the group and local procurement guidelines
  • Research the market place for appropriate potential partners for a range of services for Ayvens
  • Work with the Network Relationship Manager in relation to any Supplier issues
  • Support execution of company’s strategy, goals and policies
  • Contact person towards Ayvens Global Procurement
  • Contribute to annual profit, forecasts in the annual plan (budget) and customer satisfaction target
  • To undertake any reasonable operational duties which may be required from time to time
  • Achieve individual and team goals and objectives
     

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Business acumen and Operational knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in negotiations and concluding of agreements
  • Excellent analytical and IT skills especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Develop purchasing strategies and policies based on the needs of the business
  • Regular Meetings and telephone contact with suppliers to ensure good relationships
  • Supplier Evaluation and Analysis of purchasing statistics
  • Experienced with Dealer management systems (DMS) including manufacturer warranty and goodwill claim recovery processes and procedures
  • Project and change management.

Personal characteristics

  • Self-motivated, pro active and can work well under pressure
  • Full clean drivers license
  • Coordinated and organized, attention to detail and work independently
  • Positive about changes, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented, strong sense of responsibility and accountability

Education & experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in Motor industry role
  • 3+ years experience in Procurement area
  • Excellent Negotiation & interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Supplier Relationship management, Process Implementation
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication, writing, reporting and presentation skills
  • Proven track record in similar role
