Case study: Driving efficiency and sustainability for RCH Group
RCH Group, a leading organisation with a fleet of 78 vehicles—98% of which are vans—asked us to manage its fleet leasing and service requirements during a major fleet renewal. The project aimed to support RCH Group’s transition to a more eco-friendly fleet whilst reducing operating costs, minimising vehicle downtime and adding value through specialist vehicle builds. For more details on our partnership and the fleet renewal project, please see the official press release on the Home Fix Scotland website.

Challenge
As a subsidiary, Home Fix Scotland (HFS) managed the fleet based on varying trade requirements, resulting in multiple trade-specific vehicle specifications. Frequent team movements led to vans that no longer met staff needs due to their specialised fitouts.
An ageing fleet with outdated branding compounded the operational challenges. RCH Group needed a partner to review the existing fleet policy, simplify future planning and provide a lease agreement that included fully serviced vehicles with fresh, modern branding.
Solution
We conducted an on-site fleet review with RCH Group’s teams to fully understand their operational challenges and objectives. Recognising the need to reduce operating costs and standardise the fleet, we developed a comprehensive “RCH Group Fleet document” detailing recommended van models segmented by use case. To address the complexity of multiple trade-specific fitouts, we proposed consolidating these into a single “multi-trade” specification applicable across all panel vans, improving flexibility and future planning.
Additionally, we led a full redesign of the fleet’s livery and branding, collaborating closely with the client and their livery partner Pulse to create a fresh, modern, and distinctive visual identity. This document now serves as the definitive guide for all future vehicle orders and specifications, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the fleet.
Throughout the project, we provided ongoing expertise on electric vehicle market developments and innovations, aligned with RCH Group’s ‘Road to Zero’ strategy, and assigned a dedicated LCV account manager to deliver tailored support and advice.
