ALD Automotive successfully completes the acquisition of LeasePlan and announces local management changes

This transformative acquisition represents a step-change which positions the combined group as the leading global sustainable mobility player with total fleet of 3.3 million vehicles managed worldwide. By joining forces, ALD Automotive and LeasePlan will lead the way to net zero and further shape the digital transformation of the industry. The combined entity will leverage on scale and complementary capabilities to strengthen its competitiveness and deliver sustainable growth.

However, in Norway only LeasePlan will become part of the new group. In compliance with the commitments made in the context of the clearance by the European Commission of the acquisition of LeasePlan, ALD indeed entered into a share purchase agreement to sell its subsidiary in Norway to Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance. Upon completion of its sale to Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, ALD in Norway will eventually change its name.

To lead strategic development in Norway, Tim Albertsen, Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive | LeasePlan, has appointed Anders Ree Pedersen, Managing Director of LeasePlan in Norway, as Country Managing Director. This appointment is effective immediately. He will be supported by Olena Tymofiyiva, previously General Manager of ALD Automotive in Hungary, who has been appointed Deputy Country Managing Director in Norway.

Anders Ree Pedersen and Olena Tymofiyiva are among the key leaders selected from both ALD Automotive and LeasePlan who are best positioned successfully deliver the strategic development growth targeted in the coming months and years.

Biography

Anders Ree-Pedersen Country Managing Director (1960, Norwegian national) has been with the company for more than 30 years, and was appointed Managing Director in 2000. Anders is passionate about good leadership, happy employees and high client satisfaction. He has been leading the company with an openminded, clear and strategic approach which has contributed to an outstanding growth during all the years he has been with the company.

Olena Tymofiyiva Deputy Country Managing Director (1976, Ukrainian national) joined ALD Automotive in Ukraine in 2006. Since 2009, as company CFO, she was in charge of local corporate finance and risks, and as of 2017 took additional responsibility over IT and Projects. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive in Bulgaria in 2018 and went on to become Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive in Hungary in 2020.
