Suvajit Karmakar
Country Managing Director India & Asia Sub-Regional Director - Ayvens
Suvajit Karmakar is the Country Managing Director India & Asia Sub-Regional Director of Ayvens, where Ayvens operates as Ayvens MHC Mobility Services, a joint venture between a group company of Mitsubishi HC Capital and Ayvens. He manages India, Malaysia, and Thailand entities of Ayvens. He has been with the company since 2005, when he joined as Country Head, Sales & Marketing and was elevated to the position of the Chief Executive Officer & Whole Time Director of the Company in January 2013. Prior to joining Ayvens (formerly ALD Automotive), he worked with ICICI Bank Ltd., Whirlpool India Ltd., Phillips India Ltd. & Eternity Everest Ltd. Suvajit has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Pune University and is an MBA with specialisation in Marketing.
Sarvesh Joshi
Director - Finance and Legal
Sarvesh Joshi is the Director of Finance and Legal at Ayvens India. He has been working with us since July 2007. He has around 24 years of experience as a Qualified Chartered Accountant. Sarvesh started his professional career with PAL - PEUGEOT Ltd in the Finance & Accounts department. He then worked with DyStar India Limited as a Financial Accountant for 3 years assisting the CFO in various activities and moved to Tech Pacific (India) Ltd. as Deputy Manager - Finance for the next three years. After his transfer of assignment to Asia Pacific Brands India Ltd, he worked there as Head of Finance for the next four and a half years.
Shoba Krishnan
Director- Risk and Compliance
Shoba Krishnan is the Director of Risk and Compliance at Ayvens India since November 2022. She is responsible for managing Internal control, compliance, operational risk, credit risk and project functions. Shoba started her career with MaFoi Management Consultants Ltd. in Chennai, handling tax and processing payroll for their clients for around 2 years. Following that, she worked for a year as a Senior Executive - Accounts and Finance for Systime Computer Systems India Limited (a CMS group company), reporting to the CFO, managing accounting and finance operations of international subsidiaries and audit finalisation of Indian operations. Shoba joined Ayvens (formerly ALD Automotive) in 2005 as a Finance Manager, responsible for accounting, for about 2 years. She moved on to head Taxation from June 2018. Following which, she was appointed as Deputy CFO in October 2020, becoming a part of the Executive Committee. Shoba is a qualified Chartered Accountant and an all-India rank holder in ICWA Inter.
Venkatesh K.
Director - Sales
Venkatesh K is the Director of Sales at Ayvens India. He joined us in 2005 as a Relationship Manager and was promoted to Regional Business Development Manager, South, where he developed the client base for Ayvens for 7 years. He was elevated to the position of Country Head – Sales in January 2013. He started his career as a Technical Assistant in Bharat Electronics Limited, a Government of India Undertaking, in 1994. After two years, he started his journey as Sales executive and worked with several dealers of Maruti before joining Ravindu Toyota (a dealer for Toyota Kirloskar) as Head- Corporate Sales. Venkatesh has a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Automobiles.
Rakesh Bajaj
Director – Service & Operations
Rakesh Bajaj serves as Director, Service & Operations at Ayvens India and brings over three decades of extensive experience in operations management, customer service and business excellence. He joined the organisation in January 2015 as Head of Customer Service Delivery and was appointed Director, Operations in August 2015. Throughout his career, Rakesh has demonstrated strong leadership in driving operational efficiency, enhancing the customer experience and building high-performing teams. Prior to joining Ayvens India, he held key leadership positions at Philips India, Nokia India, Motorola India and Essar's The MobileStore, where he successfully led large-scale service and operations functions across diverse industries. Known for his strategic mindset, focus on execution and commitment to continuous improvement, Rakesh plays a pivotal role in advancing operational excellence and supporting Ayvens India's growth objectives. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune.
Shashi Kodukula
Director - Digital and IT
Shashi Kodukula is Director, Digital & Information Technology at Ayvens India, with 28 years of experience in technology leadership, digital transformation and enterprise IT. Since joining the Société Générale Group in 2006, he has led large-scale transformation initiatives across systems integration, programme delivery and technology management, driving operational efficiency and business value. At Ayvens India, he leads the Digital & IT function, shaping the technology strategy and transformation roadmap to accelerate modernization, digital resilience and business growth. Working closely with business and global stakeholders, he enables innovation, agility and enhanced customer experiences through technology. Shashi holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Vikram University and is recognized for his collaborative leadership, business alignment and commitment to delivering sustainable value through technology.
Shalini Baveja
Director – Marketing, Strategy and ESG
Shalini is the Director of MSE at Ayvens India with experience in technology and car leasing industries. She incubates and leads Business Transformation initiatives, drives business excellence and process improvement initiatives that deliver business growth. She steers the organisation’s efforts to ensure the authenticity of the Ayvens brand and deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences that maintain high on say-to-do ratio. Shalini is leading the post-merger integration of ALD Automotive and LeasePlan in India and ensuring seamless harmonisation of the two organisations. She is also responsible for creating an affirmative action plan aimed at not only making Ayvens India a sustainable company but also helping its customers transition to sustainable mobility.
Rajan Mestri
Director - Car Remarketing
Mr Rajan Mestri is Director of Remarketing at Ayvens India, responsible for driving the remarketing business and delivering key responsibilities in line with local and global strategies. He joined the company in 2019 as Vice President, Receivables, and was elevated to Senior Vice President in 2025. He brings extensive experience in managing enterprise and retail receivables portfolios, driving collection efficiency, and leading initiatives in process optimisation, automation, and customer-centric solutions. Earlier in his career, he worked with Kotak Life Insurance during the sector's early private-sector expansion, gaining extensive experience in setting up operations across India. A telecom industry veteran, he also led the Collections function for the industry's highest postpaid revenue circle through the company's evolution from Orange to Vi. Mr Mestri holds a Master's degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and an MBA in Finance from JBIMS.
Deepti Sharma
Director and Head - Human Resources
Deepti Sharma is the Director and Head - Human Resources, of Ayvens India. Deepti joined Ayvens in July 2025, from Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), where she headed the HR function in India for Societe Generale Bank and Societe Generale Securities India Pvt. Ltd. She has been part of SG Group India since August 2013, and has managed functions across HR including Talent Acquisition, Talent, Diversity & Inclusion, Compensation & Benefits and Organisation Development. She has also had the experience of working in the CIB Hong Kong headquarters as a regional HR Business Partner. Prior to Societe Generale, she has been part of organisations such as Infosys Ltd and Copal Research Pvt Ltd, now a Moody’s organisation, and brings over 17 years of experience. Deepti completed her Bachelor’s in Economics (Hons.) from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University and MBA in Human Resources from KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai.
