A look at the Audi Q4 e-tron 2026
With the Q4 e-tron, Audi set new benchmarks in many areas, not least when it comes to driving range, space and driving pleasure. Five years after the introduction of this successful model, the time has come for a comprehensive update. You may not notice any striking differences on the outside, but inside, a digital revolution has taken place. The more efficient drivetrain also boosts the range to almost 600 km.
Audi Q4 e-tron: an even sharper look
When the Audi Q4 e-tron was launched in 2021, it surprised both critics and fans. It was the brand’s first model to make electric driving practically achievable and affordable for a large group of drivers. It is therefore no surprise that the Q4 e-tron soon climbed into the top three most popular lease cars in Belgium. Technology — and, of course, the competition — continues to evolve, which is why a thorough update was due for the 2026 model year.
The 2026 Audi Q4 e-tron looks sharper and more expressive than ever. Short overhangs, large wheels, a wide stance and muscular flanks create powerful, dynamic proportions. At the front, the upright design immediately draws the eye, with the body-coloured Singleframe grille as the central feature. The S line adds vertical aluminium blades to the corners of the front and rear bumpers for extra flair. Functional air intakes direct airflow around the front wheels to reduce drag.
A completely new digital experience
Step inside and you'll immediately notice where Audi has made the biggest changes. The updated cabin is built around a new driver-focused digital cockpit that combines premium materials with the latest technology. The centrepiece is a panoramic display featuring an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a 12.8-inch touchscreen. Thanks to larger icons and a more intuitive layout, accessing navigation, media and vehicle settings is easier than ever.
For the first time, Audi also offers an optional 12-inch passenger display, allowing front-seat passengers to interact with selected vehicle functions and entertainment features. Perhaps the biggest technological leap is the introduction of Google's Android Automotive platform. This means services such as Google Maps are integrated directly into the vehicle, while additional applications can be downloaded from the Audi Application Store without requiring a connected smartphone.
More efficient drivetrain, shorter charging times
Whether you choose rear-wheel drive or quattro, SUV or Sportback, all Audi Q4 e-tron models are equipped with an improved permanently excited synchronous motor (PSM). Add a more efficient transmission and electronic control system, and you get a longer range and extra torque. Overall efficiency has improved by around 10% compared with the previous model. As a result, the new Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback can now achieve 595 km from a full battery (WLTP).
This figure applies to the version with the large battery, which has a gross capacity of 82 kWh. There is also the option to choose a 63 kWh battery, which takes the range beyond the 440 km mark. The battery can also be preheated ahead of a rapid-charging session, helping to speed up the charging process. According to Audi, the most powerful Q4 e-tron needs just 10 minutes to add 185 km of range.
Personalise your own light signature
The updated Q4 e-tron allows drivers to put their own stamp on the vehicle. Through the infotainment system, you can choose from a range of digital LED daytime running light signatures to create a distinctive look. At the rear, advanced digital OLED lighting enhances not only the vehicle's appearance but also visibility and safety.
