Why should companies encourage their employees to participate in a Mobility Lab workshop?

Decarbonising the transport sector will only be possible if all stakeholders swing into action, from citizens to public authorities and organisations. It is essential to understand the issues that need to be tackled, to create meaning for the actions: what is at stake with mobility? What are the social, economic and environmental consequences of our existing mobility habits? Can we do things differently and with more sufficiency?

We believe that gamification is a great way to learn, as it implies to be an active participant. But the Mobility Lab is more than just a game, it invites participants to understand the impact of the mobility sector on climate change and the actions that can be put in place to reduce CO2 emissions.

It also serves as a powerful lever for driving change management within our clients’ organizations.

This workshop is accessible to all, whether you are a fleet manager, a representative from HR, Sustainability, Procurement, Finance or simply curious about how to reduce your mobility footprint.

Why did Ayvens decided to launch the Mobility Lab?

At Ayvens, we support our clients, partners and employees in their transition to move towards sustainable mobility and decided to partner with “The Shifters” to adapt the “Fresque de la Mobilité” to the specific needs of professionals, worldwide. Transitioning to sustainable mobility is not an easy task, and our corporate clients and partners are facing many challenges in doing so. One of them is the misconceptions of the impact of the mobility sector on climate change and the lack of knowledge in the solutions that exist to lower their C02 emissions. We are continuously innovating to better support them to dive into this complex environment, with our offers, solutions, and consultancy services.

The Mobility Lab is now an integral part of our Consultancy offer and will be proposed to our international and local Corporate Clients. This will enable us to generate discussions and have a significant impact on mobility stakeholders and drivers’ mindset.

What do you hope to achieve with this workshop?

We want the participants to leave with some key takeaways on the impact of personal mobility on the environment and the levers that are available to reduce the footprint of everyone’s mobility, both individually and collectively, with a holistic view (CO2, pollution, use of natural ressources, etc).

It is our role, as a leading mobility company, to raise awareness and give the impulse that will lead people to act.

Our consultancy teams continuously support our corporate clients in their sustainable transition, giving them insights and resources to make well-informed decisions, identifying the appropriate powertrain, vehicle type for each driver or mobility solution for their employees.

We are expecting our participants to leave this workshop with the will to go further, by implementing solutions and raising awareness in their company.

What are the first reactions of the participants?

Together with the Sustainability Team, we wanted to “walk the talk” and started with internal sessions. So far, we are impressed by the positive feedback we’ve received from our employees who’ve already participated to this workshop. Also, the clients to whom we have presented the concept seem very enthusiastic. We already have a first session planned on the 19th of September with the key stakeholders of one our biggest clients!

*“The Shifters” is a French non-profit organisation created in 2014 to provide voluntary support to The Shift Project think tank, whose mission is to contribute to the decarbonisation of the economy. Inspired by the concept of the “Fresque du Climat” (Climate Fresk), “The Shifters” decided to go one step further and created the “Fresque de la Mobilité” to raise awareness of the carbon challenges of personal mobility.
