Of course, electric vehicles have some specific challenges, such as charging ports and cables freezing during winter,” Kimmo adds.
“We always aim to resolve the issue on-site whenever possible, such as repairing a tyre. If needed, the vehicle is towed to the nearest agreed location. Speed of service is especially important, particularly when the vehicle is a company car or commercial vehicle.”
One of the most important tools today is a diagnostic device that can connect to the system of virtually any car brand and read fault codes. Investigating vehicle fault codes is one of the most common tasks. Vehicles store error situations as fault codes, and the diagnostic tool reads these codes and indicates where the issue may lie. Once the fault is fixed, the codes can be cleared and, for example, the engine warning light can be turned off.

When a customer calls Ayvens roadside assistance, REDGO’s service center assesses the situation and also reviews how the costs of the incident or issue will be covered. The customer is immediately informed whether the costs are covered by the leasing agreement, the vehicle’s insurance, the car make’s roadside assistance, or whether there may be any costs payable by the customer.
This verification can be done through the systems of most insurance companies at any time—24 hours a day, every day of the week. If necessary, REDGO can also direct the customer to the car make’s own roadside assistance service. After placing the order, the customer is kept up to date via digital order tracking.
