Theft and Vandalism

Vandalism refers to intentional damage caused to a vehicle. Theft means vehicle theft or break-in.

If you believe your vehicle has been vandalized or broken into, in addition to filing a damage report, you must also file a police report. Keep the police report for your insurance company.

Our partner InCar assists with repairs, filling out damage report, arranging possible replacement vehicle, and all questions related to the damage.

Here’s what to do next:

  1. Police report

If you believe your vehicle has been vandalized or broken into, you need to file a police report. Keep the report for your insurance company.

    >> File a police report

  2. Damage report

A damage report must always be filed. Before filling out the report, check your company car’s insurance provider, your company’s car policy, or contact person.

Submit the damage report through InCar, regardless of your insurance company. InCar will forward the report to your vehicle’s insurance provider. For more information about the damage report, contact our partner InCar Oy at vahinkoilmoitus@incar.fi. The damage report to claim insurance compensation must be submitted within one year of the damage occurring. If the report is not submitted within this period, the claimant loses the right to possible compensation.

    >> Submit a damage report

After submitting the damage report, InCar will contact you to arrange the next steps.

  3. Damage inspection

Damage inspection is carried out at an InCar repair shop, or for minor damages (scratches, paint damage), you can use the InCar camera. During the inspection, a repair appointment will be scheduled.

You can avoid visiting the repair shop by sending photos of the damage with your mobile phone. After submitting the damage report, you will receive a link to the InCar camera. Using your mobile device, you can easily perform a damage inspection for minor damages with the InCar camera. The camera allows you to capture the damage, save customer information, and select the repair shop all at once. Once InCar receives the photos, they will contact you to arrange the repair appointment.

  4. Decision from insurance company

The insurance company sends the decision directly to InCar, which carries out the repair according to the decision.

  5. Repair

The repair appointment is scheduled during the damage inspection.

Do you need a replacement car during the repair?

In the event of damage, our partners Hertz and Europcar can provide a replacement car service, but the cost is not included in the leasing contract. Any cost not included in the monthly contract price can be bypassed through us. However, please check your company's car policy to see which services are available to your company's drivers.
