BMW iX3: BMW's revival!
With the iX3, BMW is inaugurating the Neue Klasse: a powerful electric SUV that is autonomous for up to 800 km and impressive to drive.
BMW is making a shift with the launch of the BMW iX3, ushering in a new era called "Neue Klasse". This change in Radical style divides: some hail this gamble as a success, others remain more reserved. In any case, the second-generation iX3 doesn't pass not unnoticed. Let's see together what it has to offer us!
A flying start
The Munich firm launches the model by directly presenting the high model range: the iX3 50 xDrive.
Equipped with all-wheel drive, 469 hp and 645 Nm of torque, the BMW ix3 50 xDrive announces 0 to 100 Km/h in 4.9s as well as a WLTP consumption of 15.1 kWh (provided you haven't got too heavy a foot on the accelerator).
Up to 805 kilometres of range
BMW announces a range of up to 805 kilometres. In real conditions, with the 108.7 kWh of its battery, the range is more between 700 and 750 kilometres, which is still more than enough for daily commuting, even in the event of small sprints or dynamic overtaking.
Architecture 800 volts theoretically offers a maximum fast charging speed of 400 kW, Although this power is often limited by the capacities of the charging: most often 300 or 350 kW. Despite this, he remains possible to recover about 370 kilometres of range in just 10 minutes of charging, barely enough time to have a coffee.
Heart of Joy: Super Brains at the Service of Driving
Nicknamed the "super brains", embedded computers make it a vehicle largely defined by its software. German engineers particularly highlight their " Heart of Joy", an ultra-powerful computing unit that co-ordinates transmission and driving dynamics. It optimises by acceleration, braking, stability, steering and load management, for an ever smoother driving experience and responsive.
A final word on the exterior design and interior. From the outside, the iX3 clearly displays the BMW identity, while incorporating enough innovative elements to embody the Neue Klasse. Inside, there is undoubtedly one of the most original interiors on the market. On the other hand, the infotainment system and the many associated features remain so numerous that it would take a complete training to master everything.
The result of the races: stunning!
Despite its 2.3 tons, this SUV drives almost like a sports car, even without active suspension. Its only flaw could be a slight trend rolling on roads in poor condition.
Beautiful on the outside and inside, innovative, efficient and very pleasant to drive... In short, the BMW iX3 is a real success and it is certain that we will see as much, if not more, on the roads of Luxembourg than the first generation.
