Ayvens mobilizes direct support for populations affected by storms
Ayvens is supporting the populations affected by the successive storms that recently hit the country. So far, this aid has taken the form of a campaign to collect essential goods and provide logistical resources to reinforce operations on the ground. The initiative has already provided direct support in the areas of Batalha, Marinha Grande, and Vieira de Leiria, helping to meet the most urgent needs identified locally.
The campaign began internally and, in a second phase, was extended to the Quinta da Fonte business community, mobilizing employees to collect food, hygiene products, and technical and construction materials. Deliveries, made by Ayvens employees, were carried out in close coordination with institutions in the region, after a survey of the priorities identified on the ground.
Among the actions already carried out, we highlight the delivery of construction, rehabilitation, and safety materials to the affected municipalities, as well as heating equipment to a children's shelter in Marinha Grande, whose infrastructure was damaged as a result of the storm, ensuring the restoration of comfort and safety conditions for the children in care.
In addition, as part of the operation, Ayvens also provided two vans to the Portuguese Marine Corps, stationed in Marinha Grande, reinforcing the mobility and logistical support of the teams involved in assisting the population.
Given the severe impact of recent storms, it is essential that responsible companies take an active role in supporting communities. At Ayvens, we always seek to ensure a rapid and coordinated response, putting our resources at the service of those who need them most. This mobilization demonstrates not only our commitment, but also the solidarity and dedication of our employees.
Ayvens remains attentive to the evolution of the needs identified, both in the district of Leiria and in Alcácer do Sal, assessing the feasibility of continuing and strengthening the support provided. At the same time, a large group of Ayvens volunteers has been identified who, after the necessary structuring and organization of the next actions, should provide support on the ground in the near future, reinforcing the company's commitment to the communities where it operates.
